Arunachal Pradesh: In a tragic turn of events, a teenage worker from Assam lost his life after being attacked by a crowd in Roing, Arunachal Pradesh, on Friday. The incident followed his arrest over serious allegations involving inappropriate behavior towards young children residing in a local hostel.

The youth, whose exact age remains uncertain, had been employed in Roing town in the Lower Dibang Valley district. Reports suggest that he took advantage of weak security arrangements to access a nearby school hostel, where he was accused of troubling girls aged between six and eight.

Concerns arose when several children complained of stomach aches and other discomforts. After medical check-ups and conversations with the children, their parents began to suspect mistreatment and reported the matter to authorities. Based on the complaint, the boy was taken into custody on Thursday.

By the next afternoon, news had spread in the town, leading to public outrage. A large group gathered outside the police station where the teen was being held. According to eyewitnesses, the crowd forcibly entered the premises, pulled him out, and physically attacked him.

The number of people involved reportedly overwhelmed the local police. Despite the arrival of reinforcements, the young man had already succumbed to his injuries by the time order was restored.

Authorities are now investigating both the original complaints and the actions of the mob.
