New Delhi: Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Retd. General V K Singh, in an inteview with BBC Hindi said that anyone who says the Indian Army is Modi’s army is not only wrong but also a traitor to the country.
Singh made this statement after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during a rally in Ghaziabad on April 1, said that the Congress government used to serve biryani to terrorists and ‘Modiji’s army’ sends bullets and bombs their way. The Election Commission on Wednesday, April 3, issued a notice to Adityanath seeking an explanation for his statement. Adityanath has been told to respond by 5 PM of April 5.
“Indian Army belongs to the country. It does not belong to a political party. You can talk about India’s military but not lightly. Sometimes when we speak of political workers, we say Modi’s Army or BJP’s Army. There is a difference,” said Singh.
