Authorities are investigating the legality of the warehouse operations, as the owner has fled the scene. Initial findings by ACP Dharmendra Singh Raghuvanshi revealed that the company possessed a licence.

“We will also investigate the adherence to safety standards,” Raghuvanshi stated.

The explosion happened on Thursday evening while Harshit was present at the warehouse. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was declared dead by the doctors.

The victim’s family has accused the warehouse owner of illegal operations and neglecting safety protocols. “They ignored safety standards and refilled expired cylinders, which were then sold in the market,” claimed Harshit’s brother, Gyanendra.
