Ghaziabad: In Tronica City, a 23-year-old woman from Delhi fell victim to a brutal gang rape allegedly orchestrated by three unidentified men. The shocking assault occurred on Thursday evening on Khanpur Road while the victim was accompanied by her 22-year-old female friend and a male friend. The assailants targeted the victim specifically, leaving her two friends unharmed as they fled the scene.
The victim, along with her female friend, worked at a toy manufacturing unit in Tronica City and was preparing to head home to Sonia Vihar, Delhi, around 6:45 pm on Thursday. The distressing incident transpired when the female friend was engaged in learning to ride a scooty on the isolated Khanpur Road, with her male friend assisting in the process. Suddenly, three unidentified men approached the group, overpowering and separating them, leading to the brutal gang rape.
An FIR was filed on Friday, invoking Section 376D (gang rape) of the Indian Penal Code. The victim detailed in her complaint how she was forcibly taken off the road into nearby bushes, where one of the assailants subjected her to rape. Another perpetrator joined in, physically assaulting her before all three men fled the scene. Following the traumatic incident, the victim and her friend promptly informed their families.
The Tronica City police station initiated an investigation, with the victim undergoing a medical examination that, surprisingly, did not reveal any discernible physical or internal injuries. Law enforcement is diligently questioning the victim’s friends, focusing on inconsistencies in the statements provided by the male friend, which have raised suspicions. The ongoing investigation aims to unravel the full extent of the suspects’ involvement and ascertain the number of individuals implicated in the crime.
