Meerut: A viral video capturing a group performing risky stunts on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway has triggered police action. The 25-second video displays a Maruti Baleno dangerously spinning near a toll plaza, with trucks nearby. Two individuals are observed hanging out of the car window – one from the passenger side and another behind him. Numerous X users and local sources shared the video on social media, lodging complaints with Meerut Police.
The occupants of the car were creating social media reels by executing circular maneuvers, as asserted by X users. The footage, filmed by a passing individual, also reveals other bystanders using their phones to record the event.
Critics labeled the stunt performers as “anti-social” and reported that passing car owners were frightened. Meerut Police responded to tweets, assuring that the concerned police station had been instructed to take appropriate action against those involved.
In a recent incident, a video emerged on social media featuring two men consuming alcohol while seated on the roof of a moving car in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad. The footage displayed both men drinking on the roof of a black car in motion, carelessly tossing used cans onto the road, and interacting with passers-by.
The police responded promptly to the viral video, arresting three individuals, including the car’s driver, in response to the incident.
