Bijnor: In the wake of a tragic incident in which a 13-year-old boy lost his life due to a leopard attack, authorities in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, have managed to capture a female leopard, estimated to be approximately three years old. The incident left the community in mourning, and the swift action of the forest department is aimed at ensuring the safety of residents.
However, there remains a level of uncertainty regarding whether the captured leopard is the same one responsible for the boy’s tragic death.
Leopards are known to be territorial creatures. The captured adult female was discovered in the vicinity of the area where the attack occurred on Thursday. Although it cannot be definitively confirmed that this is the same animal, matching pugmarks found at the scene strongly suggest that it might be the same one.
To establish the identity of the leopard and understand its behavior, the District Forest Office (DFO) in Bijnor has decided to transfer the captured big cat to the Kanpur Zoo. There, experts will conduct further examinations and studies to gain insights into its involvement in the recent incident.
The loss of a young life to a leopard attack is undoubtedly a tragic event. The authorities have taken swift action to capture the leopard, keeping the safety and well-being of the local community in mind. Further examinations and investigations will provide a better understanding of the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident.
