Ayodhya: Sharad Sharma, a leader of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), asserted on Friday that the Ram Temple movement in Ayodhya surpassed the magnitude of the 1947 independence movement. Sharma emphasized the religious, cultural, and historical significance of the movement, highlighting the sacrifices made by people over nearly 500 years.
The leader announced the distribution of 7,000 invitation cards for the upcoming consecration ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla, inviting around 4,000 saints and 3,000 other individuals from the country. The cards feature a picture of Lord Ram Lalla and include details of the program. Additionally, a booklet documenting the key figures in the Ram Temple movement since 1949 will be provided to educate the present generation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the consecration ceremony on January 22, with preparations underway for the grand event expected to draw dignitaries and crowds from various sections of society.
Vedic rituals will commence on January 16, leading up to the main ceremony, and Ayodhya will celebrate the Amrit Mahautsav from January 14 to January 22. As part of the festivities, a 1008 Hundi Mahayagya will be organized to feed thousands of devotees, and temporary tent cities are being set up to accommodate the anticipated influx of visitors to the temple town in Uttar Pradesh.
