At St Mary’s Higher Secondary School in Manarcad, Plus Two students have launched a heartwarming initiative called The Wall of Love. This thoughtfully arranged shelf inside the school offers essential study materials—gently used textbooks, brand-new school bags, umbrellas, pouches, notebooks, and stationery—free of cost.

The mission is simple yet powerful: to ease the financial strain on incoming first-year students by ensuring they don’t lack the basic tools for learning. Teachers will help identify students from struggling backgrounds and ensure the items reach those who need them most.

Spearheaded by school principal Soji Abraham and guided by Nallapadam programme coordinators Biji Ann Kurian and S Smija, the effort reflects a deep sense of community and compassion. The current student leaders hope to pass on the legacy of giving, ensuring The Wall of Love grows year after year.

This initiative is not just about school supplies—it’s about dignity, empathy, and students lifting each other up.
