New Delhi: Whoever said yoga is only for us humans? To celebrate the fifth International Day of Yoga, people all over the world are gathering in huge numbers to participate in yoga sessions. Interestingly, dogs have also gotten in on the action today.
The Defence spokesperson, on Friday, tweeted a photo of the Indian Army’s dog unit performing yoga with the caption, “Army Dog Unit practices Yoga for #YogaDay2019 …”

According to Wikipedia, yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India. Yoga asanas as the postures or positions one performs while performing yoga.
Interestingly, according to a report by Business Today, there is a yoga for dogs known as ‘Doga’ and was initiated by Suzi Teitelman in New York way back in 2002. However, in Doga, the dogs are used as props.
