A 24-year-old man allegedly died by suicide after consuming pesticide, reportedly distressed over repeated setbacks in competitive government examinations.
The deceased, identified as Kiran from Kota Boguda Colony in Mancherial, had been preparing for competitive recruitment tests and was seeking government employment.
Struggling with exam pressure
According to family members, Kiran had been facing repeated rejections in various examinations. His brother stated that he had spent a significant amount on specialised coaching for Group-IV examinations in Hyderabad and had been under severe mental stress in recent months.
On February 19, Kiran allegedly consumed pesticide at his residence. Family members rushed him to a hospital, but he succumbed while undergoing treatment.
Case registered, probe under way
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident. Officials said further action will be taken based on the findings of the inquiry.
