Dubai: Gadinada Sahitya Samskrithika Academy, Kasaragod has already set up a unit in the Gulf nation of the UAE with the aim of preserving the rich folk literature, the rich beauty of the arts, to preserve the beauty of the art, to preserve the vanishing folk art, culture, Kannada language as well as for the promotion of diversity of culture in the confluence of multiple languages of Kasaragod, the land of multiple hues.
In order to bring together the Kannada-speaking people of Kasaragod residing in UAE and encourage their cultural and literary activities, it has been decided to hold a “Dubai Gadinada Utsava – 2022” programme at Dubai Al Safa “Jagadguru Sutturu Samsthana” (JSS) School Auditorium on Sunday November 20, 2020 at 4.00 pm. The UAE Unit of Karnataka Itihasa Academy will be inaugurated on the occasion.
Gadinada Utsava Samiti Honorary President Amardeep Kalluraya, Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha President Sarvottam Shetty Abu Dhabi, GSS Academy UAE General Secretary Muneer Kubanoor, and GSS Academy UAE Treasurer Aneesh Shetty Madandoor will participate in the cultural inauguration at 4.00 pm.
Karnataka Legislative Council Chairman Raghunath Rao Malkapure will inaugurate the programme at 7.00 pm. The presidential address will be delivered by Karnataka Board Area Development Authority, Government of Karnataka Chairman Dr. C. Somashekhara (IAS). Prakash K. Rathod, Opposition Chief Whip, Karnataka Legislative Council, Government of Karnataka will inaugurate the Itihasa Academy. Gadinada Ratna Award will be presented by AKM Ashraf, MLA, Government of Kerala. Venkatesh Thuppil, Chairman, Foundation for Quality India, C. H. Kunhambu, Member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Kindi, Former Minister for Environment and Water, Government of the UAE, Thekra Faraz Taj from Dubai, Dr. Jameel Ahmed, MD, Prime Healthcare, Dubai, and Karnataka NRI Forum Former Vice Chairman Arati Krishna will participate. Gadinada Utsava Samiti Convenor Sadandas Shiruru will introduce the guests. Advocate Ibrahim Khaleel Arelimale, President of the Gadinadu Utava Samiti will welcome the gathering.

Gadinada Ratna Award
J. Krishna Palemer, Former Minister in the Karnataka Government , Acme Group Dubai UAE Chairman Harish Sherigar and Abdulla Madumoole, Senior Financial Controller at the Zayed Foundation Abu Dhabi UAE will be conferred the Gadinada Ratna Award.
As part of cultural programme, Nrithya Vaividhya from 4.30 pm to 5.00 pm, Sugama Sangeeta from 5.00 pm to 5.45 pm, Pili Nalike from 5.45 pm to 6.00 pm and from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm, Daff, Kolkali, Oppana, and Mappilapattu and finally Yakshagana from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm will be held.
