USWAS Shirva holds “Kala Saanz” teaser & ticket release in Dubai

Dubai: The much-awaited cultural extravaganza, “Kala Saanz” is getting ready to set the stage on fire. The event will showcase the Konkani comedy play by Pradeep Barboza Paladka and a live musical performance by Loyson Corda. It will be held at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium in The Indian High School, Dubai on Saturday, 23 Sept, 2023.

It is organized by USWAS-Shirva in association with Precious Parties & Entertainment.

USWAS-Shirva is a group of dedicated members belonging to the parish of Our Lady of Health Church, Shirva. The group is one of the most vibrant and well-established associations among the parishes of the Udupi diocese. This association has been consistently rendering a constant service in various fields for the past 21 years. USWAS is a non-profit association, that abides and drives its spirit with the motto of ‘Lend a hand not for self, but for each other’.

Driven by its motto, USWAS extends unconditional service to promote the well-being of Shirvites, Shirva parish and society, uplift the Konkani language and culture, education to financially backward children, support alma matter, medical aid, house construction, marriages of economically backward families and many other purposes.

USWAS Shirva unveils “Kala Saanz”

USWAS Shirva staged a Teaser & Ticket release event at Winny’s Restaurant, Karama on Friday, 16 June 2023 under the leadership of Lesly Saldanha.

Roshan Menezes compered the program. Hezel Saldanha opened the event with a prayer and a hymn to patron Saud Mai by the USWAS committee. USWAS President Lesly Saldanha welcomed the patrons, well-wishers and artists and Lavina Menezes presented a report on USWAS’ activities, milestones and upcoming events.

Kala Saanz was announced by launching a teaser by our patrons Joseph Mathias (MD Merit Freight Systems Co. LLC), James Mendonca (MD-Reliable Fabricators LLC) and Ivan Nancy Quadros (Lumen Group of Companies )along with USWAS President Lesly Saldanha and USWAS Secretary Lavina Menezes. The celebration started off with a cake-cutting ceremony.

Joseph Mathias briefly introduced “Kala Saanz” and requested everyone to support and make the event a full house. He also appreciated USWAS’ committee members for their service towards uplifting and supporting Konkani artists along with their main goal of helping needy people for various other causes.

Ivan Quadros (Lumen Group of Companies) along with Pradeep Barboza Paladka released the teaser of the Konkani comedy play “ Yenna Zalyaar Vachana”, a brand new comedy play to be performed by ‘Konkani Comedy Prince’ Pradeep Barboza Paladka along with Sangon Mugdana Kalakaar.

James Mendonca (MD-Reliable Fabricators LLC) and Loyson Corda released the teaser of Loyson Corda who will perform electrifying live music at the event. Loyson Corda is a promising young, talented sensational singer hailing from Shiva who will create waves in your heart and electrify your senses.

The tickets of Kala Saanz were released by Irwin & Edlyn Saldanha (Delmon Group of companies) Joseph Mathias (MD Merit Freight Systems Co. LLC), James Mendonca (MD-Reliable Fabricators LLC), Ivan Nancy Quadras (Lumen Group of Companies), Vincent and Pramila Barboza, Jeevan Vaz (SMKC Coordinator)

USWAS congratulated and presented a memento to Joseph Mathias (MD Merit Freight Systems Co. LLC) on the completion of 25 years of Merit Freight Systems.

USWAS proudly felicitated Alastair Quadras S/o Ivan & Nancy Quadros (Lumen Group of Companies) for his outstanding performance in academic achievement.

The event was signed off with a vote of thanks rendered by Cultural Secretary Sandeep Saldanha and a presentation of roses of honour to all patrons, well-wishers & supporters.

A lavish buffet was served on the occasion.
