Bantawala: The agitation that began on November 9, 2009, to ‘Save Brahmasannidhi’ has been decided to shift to a plot of land opposite the famous Brahmasannidhi Temple near Brahmarakootlu National Highway.
Under the guidance of Madhava Poduval of Kerala, the question-and-answer process has been going on for the last two days, and on Saturday July 1, approval was obtained. There is a belief among the devotees here that in ancient times it was a holy place where sages performed penance to appease Lord Brahma, locals said, adding that there were several accidents on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway passing above the temple.
Neeleswara Uchilattaya Padmanabha Tantri said that along with Lord Brahma, there is also the presence of Mahishandaya, Rakteshwari and Guliga in the area, and it has been decided to conduct ‘Mrityunjaya Homa’ on the July 10.
