Belagavi: The elections to the Legislative Assembly in 2018 will be my last fight in politics, announced State JD (S) president H D Kumaraswamy here on Saturday in Belagavi.
Speaking to reporters HDK said that the 2018 elections would be a ‘do-or-die’ battle for regional parties. Post Assembly polls in 2018, JD(S) would strive to make Karnataka debt-free state. “Such issues as well as the interests of poor farmers are not important for national parties—the Congress and BJP which are wasting precious time in trying to defeat each other,” he added.
HDK further added that eight legislators who were suspended from the party for backing Congress candidate in recent polls to Rajya Sabha would not be reinstated under any circumstances.
