Bagalakote: Bagalakote MLA Dr. Veeranna Charantimath said that it is imperative to fight and protest against the Governments for reservation for children of all communities to be educationally, politically, socially, economically empowered and to get government jobs.
He was speaking at a function organised by the Taluk Unit of The State Banajiga Samaja Welfare Association at Basava Mantapa at Hunagund of the District on Sunday January 1. The Government has already given educational reservation to some Lingayat sub-castes. Similarly, it is imperative to ask for job reservation, he said.
He said that the fight should not be undertaken in such a way that when elections are held on this issue, another smaller society is divided apart by the influence of the conference held by every caste.
