The Congress party’s postponed ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Sanvidhan’ rally in Karnataka’s Belagavi will now take place on January 21. The event was originally scheduled last month but was deferred following the death of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Additionally, the concluding public rally for the ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Sanvidhan Abhiyan’ is set for January 27 at Dr. Ambedkar Nagar in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. This rally will commemorate 75 years of the Constitution and India’s republic. It will also address what the Congress calls an attack on Babasaheb Ambedkar’s legacy by the current government, as per a party circular.

The Congress had earlier canceled all official programs, including its foundation day celebrations, for seven days to honor Singh, who passed away on December 26 at the age of 92. Known as the architect of India’s economic reforms, Singh died as the Congress Working Committee concluded its meeting in Belagavi. This gathering also marked the 100th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s presidency at the 1924 Belgaum session.

A public rally planned for the following day in Belagavi was called off as a mark of respect. The party now seeks to reignite its campaign with fresh momentum through the rescheduled rallies.
