Belagavi: M. K. Pranesh has been elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council.
An election was held on Friday December 23 to elect the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council. Pranesh was elected with 39 votes. Aravind Arali of the Congress got 26 votes.
M. K. Pranesh has been nominated for the post of Deputy Chairman by the BJP. Rudregowda, Talwar Sabanna, and Arun D. S’ names were also proposed. Aravind Kumar Arali of the Congress was also nominated for the post of Deputy Chairman. He was proposed by B. K. Hariprasad.
