Belagavi: As the controversy over the entry of Maharashtra Ministers to Belagavi has cooled down, Rohit Pawar, the MLA from Jamshed, the grandson of NCP leader Sharad Pawar, made a surprise visit to City and listened to the problems of Marathi-speaking people in the border areas.
MLA Rohit Pawar, who made a surprise visit to City on the instructions of Sharad Pawar, listened to the problems of Marathi-speaking people in Belagavi. He visited various places including Belagavi and Yellur.
He sought information from the leaders of the Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES) about the stage at which the Belagavi border dispute in the Supreme Court is going on and the lawyers are arguing for a verdict in our favour. “The injustice being done to Marathi-speaking people has to stop, your struggle for many years has been an inspiration for us,” Pawar said.
As soon as MLA Rohit Pawar arrived in Belagavi, he went to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Park in Shahapur and garlanded the statue of Shivaji Maharaj. He was accompanied by Rama Sene Hindustan President Ramakant Konduskar and others.
