Belagavi: ‘No plans to start new courses at present’

Belagavi: “We will strengthen the existing courses in Government colleges and focus on infrastructure. There is no intention of introducing a new course now,” said Higher Education Minister Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan.

Replying to a question by Shivanand Kaujalgi of the Congress in the Assembly on Thursday December 22, he said that it is not possible to start the Science Department from the next academic year the Government First Grade Women’s College in Bailahongal City. “Steps are being taken to strengthen the basic amenities of the college, he said.

“However, there is no intention to start any course including that of Science courses,” he said.
