Dharwad: Ministers including R V Deshpande, H K Patil, Vinay Kulkarni, Rudrappa Lamani among others along with district officials, visited the campus of University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS) on October 19 and reviewed the final preparations for the “Mahiti Utsava and Soulabhya Vitarana Samavesha” to be held on October 22 and 23.
Around 35, 000 people including the beneficiaries of various government schemes of Belagavi division will participate in the convention, wherein the facilities would be distributed to select beneficiaries for the present year by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Speaking on the occasion, Major Industries Minister R V Deshpande said the state government in the past four years had brought in several changes in different sectors in the state aiming the development of the state. It has successfully implemented various schemes and to celebrate the government’s endeavour, the convention is being held in Dharwad, for people of Belgavi division, he added.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will participate in the programme on October 23, the programme mainly aims at publicising the government schemes, he said.
Both the days, the noted cultural troupes of the region, will enthral the audience in the evening, he said while asking the people of Belgavi division to participate in the programme.
Regional Commissioner Shivayogi Kalasad, Director of Information Department P S Harsha, and Deputy Commission S B Bommanahalli among others were present.
