Dharawad: I am a person who believes in Basava principles and the BJP’s National and State leaders are campaigning with a motive to defeat me. However, Karnataka is not Gujarat, Hubballi is not Ahmedabad. No one can do anything as long as there is the blessings of the voters of the constituency. It is a question of honour of the people of Hubballi and a befitting reply has to be given,” said Jagadish Shettar, Former CM and Congress Candidate from Hubballi-Dharawad Central Assembly Constituency.
Addressing a public meeting at the Young Star Club ground here, he said, “You have seen me as a BJP leader till now, now you are looking at me as a Congress leader. Will not talk about injustice that happened in BJP here again.”
“I have joined the Congress and will try my best to help the party grow, he said and added that efforts will be made to build a harmonious life so that there is no conflict of religion,” he added.
