Dharawad: The installation of Kamanna has not been allowed for even a single day at the Idgah Ground.
Hubballi – Dharawad Police Commissioner Raman Gupta said, “If the organisers made a request 10 days in advance, we would not have faced any problem with the protection.
Speaking to the mediapersons in the City, he said, “Since it is a big City, protection is inevitable. Had they made a request earlier, we would have deployed policemen and installed CCTV cameras wherever required.
So far, 472 statues of Kamanna have been installed in the City. But all these were installed on the same day, he said.
Our Police Personnel are divided. There have been some information regarding law and order with regard to installation of the statue of Kamanna. Information was recieved from the Intelligence Police sources. There have been other reports regarding the installation of Kamanna’s statue. The Commissioner informed that there is no provision for a day or a moment in this regard.
