Dharawad: PM’s arrival, 2K Police personnel deployed

Dharawad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in City on Sunday March 12 for the inauguration of an IIT Centre and a Police Cordon has been put in place for his security.

A total of 2,000 Police personnel, including five Superintendent of Police (SP)s, have been deployed for duty.

8 Additional SPs, 28 Deputy Superintendent of Police, 63 CPIs, 125 Police Sub-inspector, 158 Assistant Sub-inspectors and 1484 Constables have been deployed for duty.

More than 2 lakh people are expected to attend Modi’s event. In this context, seating arrangements have been made for all. A huge platform has been erected in front of the IIT building. More than 200 lunch counters have been opened at four places, including lunch arrangements.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive at the IIT campus by helicopter for which three helipads have been constructed inside the IIT campus itself.
