Dharwad: The State Government has appointed Gopal Bakode, who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in the twin cities, as the Superintendent of Police of Dharwad district.
He had been serving as DCP in the twin cities, overseeing traffic and crime, for the past one-and-a-half years before being transferred to Bengaluru by the state government.
Dharwad District Superintendent of Police, Lokesh Jagalasur, has been reassigned from Dharwad to the Police Academy in Mysuru. Gopal Bakode has been designated to assume his position.
