Gadag: The BJP manifesto build life for the poor and the country permanently as well as banish poverty, said former chief minister and Gadag-Haveri Lok Sabha constituency BJP candidate Basavaraj Bommai.
Talking to reporters after garlanding the statue of Dr Ambedkar on his birth anniversary here on Sunday, he said in the last 10 years, poverty of 15 crore people had been banished and the manifesto has promised to lift another 25-crore people from the BPL category. Besides, it has promised basic infrastructure, houses and toilets to people. Specially, under the Surya Ghar scheme, power can be generated through the solar and sell the same. This has been extended to help farmers. For the girl students, a new scheme ‘Laksha Pati Deedi’ scheme would be extended to 3 crore women and it would empower them.
Reacting to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s comments on the BJP manifesto, Bommai said the BJP manifesto increases the quality of life of people and remove poverty. But the Congress party has announced the schemes irresponsibly because they wouldn’t come to power. Where the BJP manifesto has been a highly responsible document.
MLC S.V.Sankanur, former minister CC Patil, District BJP President Raju Kuradagi and others were present.
