A man known for prior criminal involvement was killed outside his residence by a group of unidentified assailants in Bengaluru.
The victim, Shivakumar, also called Biklu Shiva, was standing near the War Memorial Circle in Halasuru on Tuesday when four to five attackers arrived in a vehicle and assaulted him with sharp weapons.
After committing the violent act, the group quickly fled the scene.
Senior police officials, including Bharathinagar Deputy Commissioner of Police D Devaraj and Joint Commissioner Ramesh Banoth, visited the location to review the situation.
Authorities have confirmed that further investigation is in progress to identify and apprehend those responsible.
