Vijayapura: BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal who has been openly giving statements against Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa has now thrown his weight behind senior leader and Rural Development Minister K.S. Eshwarappa who has written a letter to Governor Vajubhai Vala against the CM.
Extending support to Eshwarappa, Yatnal told media persons that Yediyurappa is not even respecting his senior cabinet minister Eshwarappa. “Eshwarappa is one who was instrumental in making BJP strong at the grass-root level. He never left the party, unlike me and Yediyurappa. But today those who have not worked for the party, are running the government,” he said referring to Vijayendra, son of Yediyurappa.
He alleged that Yediyurappa and his son are making administrative decisions without taking any other ministers into confidence.
“Sitting in Cauvery, the official residence of CM, the father and son are interfering in all departments. The post of CM is created to work in coordination with other cabinet ministers but Yediyurappa is trying to take control of all departments. Karnataka neither has the BJP government nor the dream government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he further alleged.. He wondered what constitutional post Vijayendra has that he is involving himself in all government decisions.
Replying to the reported signature campaign to be launched against Eshwarappa by party leaders, Yatnal asked what mistake did he commit that a signature campaign is being planned against him.
Referring to the past statements of Eshwarappa where he had called Yatnal insane and had advised him not to raise complaints against the party on a public platform but in the party platform, Yatnal said now Eshwarappa has gone insane. “Many will turn insane because of the father-son duo in Karnataka. Party and State is getting destroyed because of the dynasty politics of Yediyurappa”, he alleged.
