Vijayapura: Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for coming to Bengaluru City to campaign in polls, Congress Leader and Former MP, Ramya has said that Modi will at least get to know about the bad road condition of the Capital City of Karnataka.

Addressing mediapersons after campaigning for Congress candidate, M. B. Patil in Babaleshwar Constituency on Saturday, she said that Modi will realise the plight of the people of Bengaluru by moving on the roads of the capital city. “The BJP government in the State has made the Capital City worse. Due to the bad roads, many people have lost their lives. Modi would understand the situation of the people of Bengaluru City,” she said.

Referring to BJP’s popular word ‘double engine Government’ for the party having power in Centre and the State, Ramya, the actor turned politician said that it is not double but ‘trouble engine’ Government which the BJP is running.

To a question, she said that if the BJP Government of the State had done some development works, then it would not have depended on only Modi to win the election.

Replying to the Congress announcing to ban Bajrang Dal if voted to power, Ramya said that she is personally against banning any outfit.

“Banning any outfit will not achieve any purpose because if one outfit is banned, then another outfit with the same objective will become active. Therefore, banning is not a solution, instead those who are involved in anti-social activities should be dealt with legally. Even the Supreme Court has said that suo moto cases should be filed against the hate mongers,” she said.

Asked whether she will join the active politics again, Ramya said that she has not decided yet on the matter.

She said that she will decide on her future action in politics at a later time.

On the occasion, she admired the development works M. B. Patil took up in Babaleshwar Constituency and also in Vijayapura District.
