Vijayapura: Accusing the ruling BJP Central Government of playing vendetta politics by targeting the opposition leaders with the help of investigating agencies such as Enforcement Directorate and CBI, KPCC Working President, Satish Jarakiholi said that the BJP is troubling Congress leaders unnecessarily in National Herald case.

Addressing a massive protest rally taken out by the District Congress Committee against the Central Government for targeting Congress leaders such as Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, he said that the Modi Government is blatantly misusing investigating agencies.

Stating that the matter of National Herald is purely an internal matter of the party, he said that yet the Modi Government which does not want any Opposition to remain in the country to question his Government, deliberately raising National Herald issue.

Asserting that the Government has failed on all fronts in the country, Jarakiholi said that in order to divert public attention and suppress voices of dissent, the Modi Government is misusing agencies to harass Opposition leaders.

Making it clear that the Congress will not get weakened by such acts of cowardice, he said that the party will fight the oppression of the BJP inside and outside the Assembly and Parliament.

“The BJP thinks that by targeting Congress Leaders, it will hush up the voice of the party and will panic. We want to send this message loud and clear to the Modi Government that Congress will fight the oppression resiliently on the streets and legally,” he retorted.

He said that by trying to fix Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case, the BJP has only raked up the anger of the Congress workers.

Jarakiholi appealed to the Congress workers to remain united to fight against the Modi Government’s misrule tooth and nail.

Earlier, the rally was taken out from MG Circle to DC’s Office by covering Ambedkar Circle.
