Vijayapura: A mild earthquake struck at Takkalaki Village in the District on the evening of Sunday December 4.
On the night of Sunday at 7.57 pm, an earthquake of magnitude 2.5 occurred at a depth of 7 kms in Takkalaki village.
Apart from Takkalaki, Somadevarahatti, Logaon, Siddapura K. G. P. The tremors were also felt in Vasti Village in the range. As soon as the tremors were felt, people rushed out of their houses in panic.
The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Centre has confirmed that there was a mild earthquake.
