Chikkamagaluru: The verbal spat in State politics has resumed. Sringeri MLA T. D. Rajegowda has challenged D. N. Jeevaraj in the case of alleged irregularities in the purchase of property against Sringeri MLA Rajegowda.

Rajegowda has bought a 211-acre coffee plantation. However, Jeevaraj has alleged that the former has cheated the Government of crores of rupees while purchasing the property.

Reacting to this, RajeGowda said, “I have purchased the property as per law. That garden is worth just Rs. 14 to 15 Crore. However, he is alleged to have bought the property for Rs. 270 crore. Don’t you know the difference between Rs. 15 Crore and Rs. 270 Crore?, he questioned.

He further added “I won’t just leave this here. I will go to Dharmasthala where I believe. If I have done injustice, let me be troubled. Otherwise, let God take care of those who have spread misinformation about me. If you have the capacity, come to Sringeri Sharadambe and Manjunatha’s shrine in Dharmasthala. I am ready to come on a date and time set by you. Sringeri MLA T. D. Rajegowda challenged Jeevaraj to take an oath.
