Vijayapura: MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal warned MLA Satish Jarakiholi to remain quiet and stop making any comments against the Hindu religion.

He was speaking at the protest organised on Wednesday November 9 to condemn the controversial statement made by Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee Working President and Congress MLA Satish Jarakiholi on the Hindu religion. He said that the Hindu religion is one of the oldest in the world and no one has the right to make derogatory remarks against the religion that hurts the sentiment of Hindus. He said that Jarakiholi should be ashamed of himself that he talks ill about the Hindu religion without knowing the facts.

The Congress should immediately expel him from the party, Yatnal demanded. He added that he would give a fitting reply to Satish during his next visit to Gokak on Sunday November 13.

Several party leaders and hundreds of workers also attended the protest procession.
