Vijayapura: Toll naka staff on the outskirts of Bengaluru Road staged a protest in front of the Toll Administration office here on Friday December 9 demanding payment of salaries that have not been paid for eight months.
Sadbhava Group has bagged the contract for road works on the National Highway and thousands of workers are working at toll plazas across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, a toll gate employee said that the workers working at the toll gate on NH-50 on Bengaluru Road in Vijayapura City have not been paid their wages for the past eight months. He alleged that the Sadbhava Group administration was doing injustice by not paying wages to the workers on a contract basis.
