Bengaluru: The police have lodged an FIR against 15 people for obstructing the police from performing their duty during Congress leader D K Shivakumar’s roadshow.

The FIR has been lodged based on a complaint registered by Bengaluru North East Deputy Commissioner of Police’s gunman and City Armed Reserve (CAR) constable Bharamappa Sunagar.

Bharamappa, in his complaint, had mentioned that the supporters had verbally abused and attacked him while he was on duty during DKShi’s ‘victory’ rally from the Kempegowda International Airport to the KPCC office.

According to the reports, Bharamappa, who was on duty at the Ballari Road, had asked the Congress party workers and DKShi’s supporters to clear the way, as they were blocking the roads. At this point in time, the supporters and party workers are said to have attacked him.

It can be recalled that a huge roadshow from KIA to KPCC was organized by the Congress party workers and DKShi’s supporters on Saturday, October 26, on his arrival to the city after a 50-day-long jail term in the Tihar Jail in connection with an alleged money laundering case.

Throughout the stretch, huge flexes were put up inspite of the Karnataka High Court’s orders against it.
