Bengaluru: Amid Covid-19, the state government continued with the police transfer process. In a single day, 55 DySP rank officers, including 16 ACPs of Bengaluru city police limits have been transferred.
Most of the transfers are made from the key areas. Many new faces have been inducted into the city police force.
If sources in the police department are to be believed, most of the transfers are made according to the wish of the ruling party leaders who wanted well-known police officers in their jurisdiction.
“For the first time, 16 new ACPs have been brought into the city. Many of these officers has a very good track record. The idea is improving the policing in the city,” explained authorities.
