Chikamagaluru: As all the repair works along the Charmadi Ghats have been completed, the Chikkamagalur district administration has lifted the ban on vehicular movement and allowed movement of light vehicles on the Charmadi ghat road round the clock.
Earlier, vehicle movement on this ghat road was banned between 7 pm and 6 am keeping in mind the safety of the passengers.
Meanwhile, entire Malnad region of the state is witnessing heavy rainfall since Tuesday evening.
The rain is expected to continue for three more days.
Authorities are on high alert in Shivamogga, Chikkamagalur, Kodagu and malnad taluks of the Hassan district.
