Bengaluru: BJP leader and former minister C P Yogeshwar, who was asked to contest from the Bengaluru Rural Lok Sabha constituency, is planning to field his daughter Nisha, an actress and model, as the party’s candidate.
According to sources in the BJP, the party had finalised Yogeshwar from this constituency, which is considered to be the bastion of the Congress-JDS alliance. “But now, Yogeshwar wants to field his daughter and ensure a better future for her,” said sources.
If the sources are to be believed, an astrologer told Yogeshwar that D K Suresh, the JDS-Congress alliance candidate, can be defeated only by a woman candidate. “That is why he is planning to field her,” said sources.
