Bengaluru: BJP national president Amit Shah on Tuesday gave a 23-point formula for the party State unit to strengthen its grassroots-level organisation through micro-management.
Shah held a strategy session with State unit leaders to prepare for the forthcoming Assembly elections. Shah, who arrived in Bengaluru on Tuesday night, held meetings with party legislators, MPs, office-bearers and poll in-charge leaders at a resort, near Yelahanka in north Bengaluru.
According to sources, the 23-point formula included having a database of those with smartphones and motorbikes in each booth; putting up party banners with slogans at five places in each booth; and putting up party flags atop the house of booth-level committee presidents.
The national BJP president also deliberated on preparations to be made for the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bengaluru on January 28 to participate in a rally to mark the culmination of the ongoing Parivarthana Yatra.
On Wednesday, Shah will take part in a rally at Holalkere in Chitradurga district as part of the yatra.
