Ananth Kumar’s final rites performed with full state honours

Bengaluru: The last rites of Union minister Ananth Kumar, who passed away on Monday morning, was held at the Chamarajapet Hindu Crematorium on Tuesday, November 13.

Kumar’s final rites were held with full state honours. His brother, Nanda Kumar performed the final rites and lit up the funeral pyre.

BJP National President Amit Shah and a host of state and central ministers were present.

Former deputy prime minister and Ananth Kumar’s mentor L K Advani attended the ceremony with his daughter Prathibha.

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, DyCM G Parameshwara, Major Irrigation Minister D K Shivakumar and others were also present.

Earlier in the day, the mortal remains were kept at the National College Grounds for the public to pay their last respects.
