Bengaluru: An ASI who was serving the security division of the Vidhana Soudha died after contacting the Coronavirus.
According to the police sources, the ASI developed fever a few days ago. “As it continued for a week, he tested. It was found that he was suffering from COVID 19. Even after the best of the treatment, he died,” informed health department sources.
Meanwhile, in the city, 32 police stations are sealed down after over 358 police personnel testing positive for the COVID 19 in the last few days.
Following the reports of an increase in the COVID 19 positive cases among the police personnel, the city police commissioner Bhaskar Rao announced that the home department is planning a dedicated COVID 19 care center for the police personnel who test positive.
Health commissioner tests negative
Meanwhile, Health commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pandey tested negative for the COVID 19. He was under home isolation after his driver tested positive for COVID 19.
In a tweet, Pandey updated his test result. “I thank one and all who prayed for my Covid-19 report to be negative. I wish to share with you that my test report is negative and I will continue to be part of the fight against the pandemic,” he tweeted.
