Bengaluru: Barely a day after Mohammed Nalapad Haris, son of the Congress MLA Mohommed Haris surrendered before the police in connection to an assault case, a video of a lady claiming to have been assaulted by Nalapad has surfaced.
In the video, posted on the Mangalore Hindus page, the lady named Poornima claimed that the now suspended youth Congress leader had on a previous occasion assaulted her at an NGO conference but the cops refused to take her complaint saying the area did not come under their jurisdiction.
“The recent incident garnered the attention because it is an election year. However, in my instance I never got support from the media or anyone in politics. Officials at the Cubbon Park police and Halasuru police station too said that the location where the incident occurred did not fall under their jurisdiction,” says Poornima adding that even the media did not highlight her case.
