Bengaluru/New Delhi: BJP state youth wing general secretary B Y Vijayendra, who has been credited for BJP’s victory in the KR Pet Assembly segment in the recently concluded by-elections, met the party’s national president Amit Shah in New Delhi in the early hours of Saturday, December 14.
Vijayendra is the younger son of Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, whose supporters have been demanding that the former be given a suitable reward for creating history by opening the party’s account in the Mandya district.
The meeting between Vijayendra and Shah has raised eyebrows as the BJP leaders are surprised that the latter gave the former an appointment since he is busy dealing with the violence across the country in the aftermath of the passing of the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019.
Sources close to Vijayendra have claimed that the meeting was merely a courtesy call.
