Bengaluru: On Saturday December 11, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta has issued an order to all zonal and joint commissioners, as well as all engineers, to immediately begin road repair work on all arterial and sub-arterial roads. Following a virtual meeting with zonal authorities, Gupta directed them to immediately begin the repair work and finish it as soon as possible.
Gupta informed that officials should ensure that all roads are free of potholes and that the roads in all 100 villages are fixed as soon as possible.
Gupta also directed the engineers and zonal heads to inspect all roads in each zone for damages and poor lighting. The Chief Commissioner instructed the officials to make sure that street lights are working and that the roadways are well-lit with LED lights.
