Bengaluru: Former JD (S) MLA S. R. Shrinivas and several BJP leaders from Mandya and Mudigere met Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committe President D. K. Shivakumar on Thursday March 30. They joined the Congress at the KPCC Office in the presence of Shivakumar.

Speaking on the occasion, D. K. Shivakumar said, “I have been waiting for Srinivas for many years. But he could not be brought in. Now he has fallen into the trap of the voters. Their inclusion is not just for Tumakuru; The whole of old Mysore is a great strength,” he noted.

“Shivalinge Gowda from the JD (S) will also resign soon. They will join us as soon as possible. As many as 37 leaders like Kantharaja, Manohar, Madhu Bangarappa, Devendrappa and others have so far joined the Congress from the JD (S) in a short span of time,” he said.
