Bengaluru: Bannerghatta Biological Park, which collapsed for the last three years due to Covid-19, has collected a record revenue this year. With a collection of Rs. 53 Crore, the park is competing with major tourist destinations.
Bengaluru Bannerghatta Biological Park in the Taluk, which had the highest loss in 2020-21, has bounced back in 2022-23 by collecting Rs. 53 Crore. The Bannerghatta Biological Park, which had been struggling to feed and treat the animals for the past two years, had appealed to animal lovers to adopt the animals. However, now it has increased its source of revenue by attracting more tourists.
Bannerghatta Biological Park has proved that it is no less than a frontline tourist destination in the State through its fundraising. In the year 2022 – 23, a total of 2 Lakh, 22,993 tourists visited and Rs 53.89 Crore, was collected.
In 2019 – 20, it has collected Rs. 31.99 Crore and in 2020-21 it was just Rs. 15 crore.
