Bengaluru: BU campus to ban vehicles from 6 am to 8 pm soon

Bengaluru: Bangalore University is all set to ban vehicles from entering campus between 6.00 am to 8.00 pm.

A meeting convened by Bangalore University’s Vice Chancellor, student bodies, DCP West, Law and Order and DCP West Traffic, and the Management Officials at Jnana Bharati campus have collectively decided to ban vehicles as a precautionary measure. Until the ban on vehicles, temporary measures such as rumbling strips at every hump, bettering street light illumination, and adding of barricades in the campus to check speed among others will be introduced.

A decision to arrange alternative road facilities to civilians who are residing in the neighbourhood of the campus will also be decided upon.
