Bengaluru: CM holds meet on implementing Shakthi scheme

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah held a preliminary meeting regarding the inaugural programs of Shakti and Annabhagya schemes.

The CM will inaugurate the Shakhi scheme which provides free travel facility to women on 11th June at Vidhana Soudha. This scheme was one of the five schemes announced in the election manifesto.

The women can avail the facility after 1.00 pm. District in charge ministers will inaugurate the scheme at their respective districts headquarters. The CM will also unveil the model of logo and smart card during the occasion.

Food and Civil Supplies Minister K.H. Muniyappa, Transport Minister Ramalingareddy, Chief Minister’s Political Secretary Govindaraju, Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma, Chief Minister’s Deputy Chief Secretary Dr. Rajneesh Goyal and other senior officers attended the meeting.
