A Bengaluru court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant on Thursday against former Chief Minister and senior BJP leader B.S. Yediyurappa in connection with a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which is investigating the POCSO case against Yediyurappa, had previously summoned him for questioning. However, Yediyurappa requested additional time to appear before the CID investigation officer.
The former CM is in Delhi, as he is also BJP’s  parliamentary board member, is expected to participate in the probe upon his return, according to sources close to him.
