Bengaluru: Minister for Bengaluru Development K J George on Thursday visited Sarvagnanagara Assembly Constituency and inspected ongoing developmental works in various places.
The minister visited Tannery Road and ordered clearing of garbage dumped on a five-acre plot for several years. The place would be cleaned and fenced before being handed over to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL). He also noticed waste materials being dumped by four nearby chicken shops and ordered that they be closed immediately.
Then he visited Nandagokula Extension and inspected ongoing storm water drain works. He instructed the authorities to construct 50 houses for rehabilitating the affected people in the area.
At Hennur Bridge, the minister noticed works related to de-weeding and storm water drain. He also instructed the officials to broaden the vent at Challakere Tank and pump out additional water. He visited Kalyananagara in Banswadi area and inspected storm water drain work and directed officials to clear blockages in secondary drains.
Later, the minister visited Assembly constituency Office and interacted with the public related to their grievances. He directed the officials present there to attend to the problems in the area.
