Bengaluru: With an eye on the old Mysuru region, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is planning to hold a rally in Mandya. It has also launched a scathing attack on the JD (S), which has a good base in the region.

“JD (S)’ Pancharatna Promotion Yatra is not a journey of pro-people development. The Pancharatna Promotion Yatra is not a journey for the development of old Mysuru,” it stated. Taking to Twitter, the BJP said that the yatra was organised to promote five JD (S) Leaders including H. D. Kumaraswamy, Nikhil Kumar, Revanna, Prajwal Revanna and Suraj Revanna.

“Kumaraswamy has been instrumental in misusing the goodness of the people. The JD (S), which has made politics a family business, has already proved that it will do anything for profit. It is the people of Mandya who are suffering due to their hypocrisy. Taking advantage of goodness of the innocent-minded people of Mandya was a foolishness. Kumaraswamy committed a daylight robbery in the entire District. The people of Mandya will never tolerate injustice and treachery,” he said and added thus in the 2019 by-election, the people defeated the JD (S) in K. R. Pete and gave the BJP a victory.

“Voters in six other Constituencies in the District have listed the work of both the parties,” he added.
